One of my favorite baby gifts was something very different - and I love it!!! It's called the Stay dry Bath-Apron & Towel. They didn't make these when I had my first baby, so I can really appreciate it! I saw it in Parents magazine, and my friend got it for me. It's like a long full bath towel that's shaped to fit around my neck like a bib w/velcro, and with ties at the back- so it stays put if I'm leaning over. My baby is able to cuddle up against my chest while I bring the bottom of the towel over her. Where normally I'd be soaked, my clothes stay dry when I lift her to me from the bath! It'll also keep me dry when she starts kicking and splashing - which my first one did like crazy!! Last week I was a wreck, because it was in the wash, so I had to give her a bath without it. When I went to lift her out it felt like she was going to squirm right out of my hands cause she was so slippery - then I had to rush to get a towel over her! That'll never happen again!
