Mykal

My daughters name is Mykal. I took it from the Moslem name Mikal. Mikal is the Moslem equivalent of the Christian archangel Michael. Moslem folklore says that Mikal hasn't laughed since the begining of hell. Mikal is described as having emerald wings and a coat of saffron hair. Each hair contains a million faces, each face a million eyes and tounges, each speaking a million languages which all beg for forgivenessfrom Allah. I found like later it is also a Hebrew name: in Hebrew Mykal is a boys name, it is a Variation of Michael and means 'Close to God'. Mikal in Hebrew is a girls name meaning 'Who is like god'.
